“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34. May of 2019, while I was in prayer, I heard this verse as I clearly saw the painting that you are looking at now. I thought Wow! I know our nation is in turmoil, but this image is extreme! At that time, I did not do anything with the message or visual, just shelved it…Fast forward to the first of June this year when I was reminded of this message. I am sure some of you realize what the painting signifies…the judgement of God on the sins of our nation. Behind the flag and the horse are written the first and second amendment, the right of religious freedom, to gather, and free speech, also the right to bear arms and to defend and protect Liberty and Justice for all, what God has given us. The Bill of Rights offer specific protections of individual liberty and justice and place restrictions on the powers of government. The Constitutions first three words-We the People-affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens.
Horses come in varying colors and those colors can be symbolic in dreams, visions, and scriptures. Typically horses of black represent Judgement, or destruction upon wickedness, evil and sin. Where are we as a nation? Have we turned our backs on our founding fathers decree, “One Nation Under God”? I pray that the people of God rise and take their stand as the Minutemen of old before we lose what freedoms we have so often taken for granted.
